My Mother's Day Wish...

This year I am gifting myself, I am catching up on my own kids portraits.  I will be making an album for each of them along with a couple of wall portraits since they have changed so much.  I started with my middle son, Tucker.  (the compliant one;-)  It amazes me how much he has grown, he *thinks* that he is taller than me and probably will be in a few weeks, but he is still my sweet little guy.  Who's going to be next?

If you love Julie's work as much as I do, you don't want to miss this opportunity to learn from her. This will be jammed packed three day workshop filled with tons of educational information and fun. There will be handouts for you to go home with, we'll have a marketing exchange and round table discussion, it's going to be a blast! I want your brains to be tired from being so inspired and learning so much and I want your stomach muscles to be sore from laughing so much from the fun you had when you leave.

Julie is a phenomenal artist and wonderful teacher, and will share anything she can with you. She will inspire you in so many ways and help you in any way she can. She has a great eye for high end style and class and has a great business sense to go along with it.

As you know she's recently teamed up with WHCC to teach a seminar focusing on albums to correlate with their new papers and albums they are releasing and she also has just finished designed her new album templates.

Albums are one of the products that I have been afraid of simply because I just don't have a high end market here and never really knew how to price them so I'm looking forward to learning about how to produce them EASILY, and how to market them effectively. If you have never seen any of her templates, them OMG you must see them. They are truly some of the most beautiful templates you will ever see. She has the market on the boutique grunge look, I have never seen anyone do it better. This is truly Julie's own natural style and she lives it day in and day out.

Although albums will be discussed, Julie will be teaching about marketing, posing, lighting, we'll be photographing models, pricing, photoshop, you tell her what you want to talk about or to cover and she will cover it. It will not be limited to just albums.

Minimum needed: 10 people with a max of 15 we will say for now.

Length of workshop: 2 full days, 1 half day

Cost: $500-includes lunches and Julie's new album templates that she will be working with during the workshop.

When: July 19-21 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

Where: My studio address is 900 E. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640 if you want to do a mapquest.

Airport to fly into: Greenville-Spartanburg- http://www.gspairport.com/

Hotel info: more info to come

My studio is very conveniently located, literally five minutes away from restaurants like Outback, Copper River, Los Amigos or you have fast food.
If the Hobby Lobby is open by then which I think it will be, we'll be 2 minutes from a Hobby Lobby so if you don't have one near you, you can go shopping while you're here. LOL
You're 20 minutes from downtown Greenville from the studio, which we must go to if ya'll come. We have a very artsy urban feel to downtown. You're 20 minutes from the mall from the hotel, and all the shopping, nightlife, etc so you're right at everything when you're here.

Let's start raising funds now!

Here's the scoop:

As a mother of an upcoming  Paola junior I was made aware at prom walk in that next year our class is responsible for raising money for Paola Prom 09' .  To show our appreciation to the upcoming senior class we'd like to donate 10% of our Paola senior portrait sales  to the Paola After Prom.   

To participate...here's all you have to do

call and schedule your senior portraits May through September and 10% of your portrait order will be given to Paola  After Prom.  It's that easy. You get great senior portraits and you get to help your school at the same time!  It's a win~win situation.

Senior Prom Memories

Ok.  I'll admit, I wish I could go to prom again!  It was so fun to see all of the high schools kids all dressed up walking down the red carpet.   Move over Hollywood, you've got nothing on Paola!  These kids looked incredible!  I know we were never that glamorous in high school, or were we?  That has led me on a mission to dig up my own senior prom photographs!  Stay tuned...I will find them...

Speaking of photographs...girls, after all that pampering (dress, hair,  nails, shoes, jewelry) we've got a great way to  capture your memories.  Call the studio for your  mini prom dress session.  913.294.5482.  And remember, this session is complimentary when you have senior portraits taken at j.klaasmeyer.
